Terms and Conditions

BudgetPH (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal finance platform operated by Kindlyf (kindlyf.com), a technology company built for Filipino users. The Service is accessible at budget.kindlyf.com and as a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable on mobile devices.

BudgetPH helps Filipino individuals and households track income, expenses, bills, Paluwagan groups, loans, government benefit contributions (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth), and overall financial health — including a Budget Credit Score and AI-powered spending insights.

By accessing or using BudgetPH, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including those on the Free plan, Pro plan, and Household plan. Users under 18 years old must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

To use BudgetPH, you must create an account using a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password confidential and not sharing it with others.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent activity.

BudgetPH offers three plans:

• Free: Core budgeting features, 1 Paluwagan group, 2 active loans, 1 CSV import per month, and MCP AI agent access (60 calls/hour). No credit card required. Free forever.
• Pro (₱799/year): Everything in Free, plus unlimited Paluwagan groups, unlimited loans, unlimited CSV imports, PDF and Excel export, AI Spending Insights, Household Mode, MCP write tools, and 600 MCP calls/hour.
• Household (₱1,199/year): Everything in Pro, plus a shared budget view for up to 2 members (couples or household partners), with combined income and expense tracking.

Pricing is in Philippine Peso (PHP) and billed annually. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.

Paid subscriptions are processed through PayMongo, a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-regulated payment processor. Accepted payment methods include GCash, Maya, Visa, and Mastercard.

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed annually at the time of upgrade.
• Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew annually unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Grace period: A 3-day grace period applies upon subscription expiry before plan downgrade takes effect.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods. If you experience a billing issue, contact us at [email protected].
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings. Access to Pro features continues until the end of your paid period.

You agree to use BudgetPH only for lawful, personal finance management purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service or its API.
• Use the MCP API key to build competing products or resell API access to third parties.
• Upload malicious files, scripts, or content to the Service.
• Abuse the CSV import, AI Insights, or MCP rate limits through automated means beyond intended personal use.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

BudgetPH implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard from Anthropic that allows compatible AI agents (such as Claude Desktop) to read and, on Pro plans, write to your budget data via a secure API.

• MCP API keys are generated in your Account Settings. Keys are bcrypt-hashed and never stored in plaintext.
• Free plan users have read-only MCP access at 60 calls per hour.
• Pro and Household users have read and write MCP access at 600 calls per hour per member.
• You are responsible for keeping your MCP API key secure. Do not share it or commit it to public repositories.
• We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are misused or shared publicly.

The AI Spending Insights feature uses OpenRouter to generate monthly spending analysis. When this feature runs:

• Only aggregated budget totals and category percentages are sent to the AI model — no personally identifiable information (PII), names, or transaction descriptions are transmitted.
• The AI response is stored in your account and displayed in your dashboard.
• Insights are generated at most once per month per user.

AI-generated insights are informational only and do not constitute financial advice. BudgetPH and Kindlyf are not licensed financial advisors. Always consult a qualified professional for significant financial decisions.

You own all financial data you enter into BudgetPH. By using the Service, you grant Kindlyf a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your personal financial data for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

All content, design, code, trademarks, logos, and features of BudgetPH are the property of Kindlyf. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

The BudgetPH name, logo, and “Budget Credit Score” are proprietary identifiers of Kindlyf.

BudgetPH is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

The Budget Credit Score is an internal metric for personal tracking only. It is not reported to any credit bureau, does not affect your actual credit standing, and should not be relied upon as an official creditworthiness assessment.

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Kindlyf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of BudgetPH — including loss of data, financial loss, or service interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₱799, whichever is lower.

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Paid subscribers who are terminated for cause are not entitled to a refund.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active users via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.
