How to set up your first budget in BudgetPH

New to budgeting? This walkthrough gets you from an empty dashboard to a working monthly budget in about ten minutes. It's built around the Filipino payday cycle, so it'll feel natural from the first sweldo.

🧭
1

Create your account

Sign up with just an email and password — no card needed. On your phone, tap 'Add to Home Screen' so BudgetPH opens like a native app and works offline.

2

Add your income

Go to Income and enter what you expect for the 15th and 30th (or set a different pay frequency — monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly). Enter the expected amount before payday and the actual after, and BudgetPH tracks the variance. Tag each entry by source: Salary, Freelance, OFW Remittance, Business, and more.

3

List your essentials and bills

Add rent, utilities, groceries, and transport under Essentials, each with a monthly budget. Put recurring obligations like electricity, water, and internet under Bills with their due dates so you get reminders.

4

Add cards, installments, and savings

Record credit cards and any installment purchases — BudgetPH injects the monthly amortization automatically. Then set a savings goal so a target amount is part of the plan, not an afterthought.

5

Track as you go

Mark bills and obligations Paid when you settle them. Log non-essential spending (or import it from GCash/Maya). Each day you check in builds your streak and nudges your Budget Credit Score upward.
